Website Project for author and poet Heli Laaksonen

I executed a website project for Finnish poet Heli Laaksonen, where I designed and developed a site consisting of a total of eight pages. The site also includes a blog and two audiobooks, offering a diverse and rich experience for fans of Heli Laaksonen's poetry.

When designing the site, I focused particularly on visual and user experience (UX) design. My goal was to create an intuitive and aesthetically pleasing environment where users can easily navigate and enjoy the content. In the visual design, I used nature-inspired and fresh colors that reflect Heli Laaksonen's close relationship with nature and life. The color palette creates a calm and harmonious atmosphere that supports the theme and mood of the poetry.

As part of the project, I also created a unique visual brand for Heli Laaksonen. The core of the brand is based on nature-inspired and fresh colors that embody the deep connection between Heli Laaksonen's poetry and nature and life. This visual identity is reflected in all elements of the website, from the logo and typography to the site's imagery. The brand aims to reinforce the poet's identity and provide a cohesive, recognizable experience for visitors.

I also ensured compliance with the accessibility directive, making the site fully accessible. This means the website is designed and built to be usable by everyone, including those with various disabilities. Accessibility enhances the usability of the site and ensures that all users can enjoy Heli Laaksonen's poetry without barriers.

The result of the project is a website that not only meets functional and aesthetic requirements but also creates a unique and pleasant user experience. The site serves as a digital home for the poet's expression, where users can immerse themselves in Heli Laaksonen's poetry and find inspiration in her world.

I believe this project reflects my ability to combine visual design, UX design, accessibility, and branding into a cohesive and effective whole.
